The 1079 model "3-wide" was an update of the popular 1069.  Built by New Holland from 1988-1994, it was the last all mechanical machine built.  Being a fully mechanical machine, the 1079 offers simplicity and speed without some of the problems a computer system can provide.  The 1079 was equipped with a new Ford diesel engine, heavier 5-speed manual transmission, heavier 2-speed rear axle, heavier front axle, and heavier brakes.  The operator's cab offered better control and seating arrangement, and was offered with air-conditioning standard for the first time.  Set up for a "3-wide" bale configuration, the 1079 was designed to haul 2-string bales 36"-42" in length.  Load rack capacity is up to (135) 16"x18" bales, or (160) 14"x18" bales.  Due to a limited production run and the heavier features offered, the 1079 is one of our most popular models, offering simplicity, speed, and ease of operation, without the high cost of newer models.  We offer the 1069 in various conditions from "auction condition" to fully reconditioned models to meet you budgetary and operational needs.  Give us a call today to find out our current inventory and to get the process started.
